Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Patient Access department. This role is responsible for implementing process improvements, ensuring timely and accurate patient flow, and fostering positive relationships with internal and external peers.Key Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to achieve Conifer and client goals, focusing on meeting metrics and identifying areas of opportunity.
• Staff Management: Manage staffing activities, including documentation, selection, wage/salary activities, orientation, and training, to grow and mentor supervisors and ensure staff engagement and commitment to strategy and goals.
• Clinical Knowledge: Understand and communicate all aspects of Patient Access, including technology, processes, and regulations.
• Client Services: Collaborate with Client Services to address client needs, concerns, and requests related to Patient Access, ensuring efficient and effective operational flows.Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, with three to five years of management experience in a Revenue Cycle, Business Services, or Acute Healthcare environment.
  • Certification: Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) preferred.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in an office work environment with occasional hospital visits, requiring the ability to work in a sitting position, use a computer, and answer a telephone. Approximately 25% travel may be required.
